![]() ![]() I'm on the Mac ATM.īut thanks all for helping or trying. Just to get it to boot and load Chrome is hitting almost ten minutes. It booted up, I went in, deleted the program and the driver and the entry from Add/Remove Programs. It actually loaded the driver, surprising for me, but it did. IDK why it would not work before, but I got in. I was able to hit F8 and get into recovery mode after much trying. I am going to be doing one now in fact.īut, I have good news! The system now works, but much slower! Here's how: Normally, these are not needed on a regular basis, but in the state it is in now, it is a great idea to do one. There is of course also the possibility that your computer has reached the end of its life. In addition, I have not had to do a force shutdown since Maverick when I had the laptop where it could not go to sleep and it would just crash. Normally, all I have open is Chrome and Minecraft and Notepad++ when I defrag.ĭid you pull the plug on the machine while an automatic defrag was in progress? I don't use Automatic defrag, so that is not possible. :P :Dĭo you run automatic defrag while doing other chores on your computer?I have defraged while doing other things on the computer. I was there doing the work the whole time. Yes, I do know how the situation came out. Is it possible for you to use the Uninstaller program from the tools in ASC? There is of course also the possibility that your computer has reached the end of its life.Ī full chkdsk is alway good to do, a sfc /scannow likewise. Do you know how this situation came about?ĭo you run automatic defrag while doing other chores on your computer?ĭid you pull the plug on the machine while an automatic defrag was in progress? ![]()
